Kavalo was born out of real-world barn life — and years of building, scaling, and selling horse businesses.
Our founders, Zachary Leyden and Kalea Leyden, have built and exited three equestrian businesses before purchasing Ocean View Stables, a multi-million-dollar coastal facility located just minutes from the San Francisco Zoo.
Operating a high-volume lesson and trail ride business on one of the most iconic coastlines in California gave Zachary a front-row seat to the challenges horse businesses face: missed calls, manual scheduling, and constant operational firefighting.
Instead of accepting “this is just how it is,” Zachary developed a better way — combining equestrian expertise with modern technology.
